Yin Yoga
Step out of the fast lane and into stillness. Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, meditative practice.
Service Description
Step out of the fast lane and into stillness. Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, meditative practice designed to complement our fast-paced, active lives. Unlike dynamic "yang" styles of yoga that focus on muscles, Yin targets the deeper, cooler tissues of the body—specifically the fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. In this class, we hold floor-based postures for extended periods (typically 3 to 5 minutes) using the support of props like bolsters, blocks, and blankets. By allowing the muscles to fully relax, we gently stress the connective tissue, encouraging a safe increase in flexibility, joint mobility, and healthy circulation. Expect a quiet, reflective environment where the focus shifts from doing to being. You will learn mindfulness and breathwork techniques to help soothe the nervous system, release deeply held physical tension, and quiet the mind. Who it’s for: Everyone! This practice is highly accessible and requires zero prior yoga experience. It is an excellent counter-practice for runners, weightlifters, and athletes, as well as anyone dealing with stress, chronic tightness, or mental fatigue.
